Hi everyone!
Lansweeper is delighted to announce the availability of its new Network Discovery in your Lansweeper Site, now in Preview. Discover more details of your assets remotely with Network Discovery, now available on Windows, Linux and macOS with auto update on all platforms.
During Preview, Network Discovery can still produce duplicate assets. Optionally, you can resolve duplicate assets by opening Scanning › Discovery systems and unlinking the Network Discovery system(s), and removing all related data.
Learn how to install/deploy Network Discovery here.
If you chose to link your Network Discovery with your Lansweeper Site, it will be shown in Scanning > Discovery systems.
To see the assets your Network Discovery brought in, you can check Inventory > All assets. You can also use Inventory > Installations > %Name of the Network Discovery Hub% to filter on the assets of a specific installation. Some data might still be missing we’re continuously mapping and expanding our global data model.

Has the (Full) Network Discovery been updated to include OT? Based on the change log it hasn't been updated since July 16th?

@mem16421 Network Discovery already has an OT sensor onboard which is installed for any new installation. You can also use the installer to extend an existing network discovery installation. We'll release version 0.24 very soon now which will also upgrade the built in framework to .NET 8 ensuring compliance and reducing vulnerabilities.

Dear team,
thank you very much for this new solution. Is SNMP supported? I'm evaluating the solution and missing many data fields via SNMP. Credentials are confugured correctly.
Kind regards, Florian.

Hi Florian!
Yes, indeed, it is supported. However, some of the data might not be visible as it is still in development. Nevertheless, could you mention what data fields you are missing?
Thank you!

Hi,
attached a quick example.
I have several assets with snmp services enabled. I can also scan them from the same server where the discovery agent is installed and get results. My Firewall for example does not get the network interfacs in the config tab or even the manufacturer in the main tab.
Attached is a picture from my synology NAS. Even the hub reports the model correctly, the information is not present at the website.
It seems that either the scanner does not use the snmp credentials which I binded to the scan or something is not updated correctly.
Is there any logfile wehere I can check, which scan mechanism (Windows, SNMP, SSH) is failing or used?
Thank you in advance
Flo
