I know about that and have implimented it to an extent with the Mac Addresses of our Docking stations, but its not really a long term solution. Let me give you an example of what has just happened in the last week.
I bought a brand new macbook on the 1st March. installed LSagent, gave it all the permissions etc. It scanned with LSAgent, and right away, it has 23 comments showing "Merged duplicate asset", with dates going back to March 2023. That's not right. So by the time I know there is an issue, I have already lost assets as they have been merged.
To be honest, its almost becoming unmanageable for Apple Mac assets.
PLEASE just allow us the choice to block all asset merges if we want to. I cant be getting every single Mac address for every device and adding it every time, thats just not practical.
