You notice that the Helpdesk email is struggling to get authenticated. It was working fine yesterday, or you're setting it up for the first time.

What is happening?

The Lansweeper Helpdesk can have issues during authentication when Extended Protection (EP) is enabled. Having EP enabled is recommended by Microsoft. Unfortunately, this additional security implementation currently causes authentication issues for Lansweeper's mailing features.

More information regarding Microsoft Extended Protection can be found here: https://microsoft.github.io/CSS-Exchange/Security/Extended-Protection/

Now what?

For now, we recommend disabling EP and restarting the 'Lansweeper Server' service in services.msc on your scanning server.

Our development team is aware of the problem and will implement a full solution to make the Helpdesk compatible with Microsoft's Extended Protection in a future release. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide an estimated release date for this fix at this time.
When a fix is available, it will be marked on our changelog as "LAN-14104". Our changelog can be found at: https://www.lansweeper.com/changelog/
