If by importing, do you mean creating a new asset record within Lansweeper itself? Lansweeper has an import assets feature that requires specific fields to be completed in order to import data from a CSV file. From Lansweeper Classic, you would:
- Go at Assets
- Select Import Assets
- Download the import template (to show what fields would be required. Note that not all fields are specifically required.)
- Complete the form and then upload to Lansweeper.
- Select "Validate Import" to verify the information has no issues (missing fields that are required, duplicate entries, etc.)
- Make any corrections and revalidate until you're given the all clear, and then select Import Assets to complete the upload.
There area ways to inject other data into the tables, however it's not a supported feature and I am not knowledgeable enough on SQL injections to offer that type of solution. Also, if you are using Lansweeper Sites, I am unsure if the ability to bulk upload assets is an enabled feature for the cloud version yet, so we do all of our manual imports through Lansweeper Classic.
