Hello,
We have the following problem. I have changed the computername of a laptop and now i have it duplicate items. How can i make sure this wont happen in the future?
The perfect solution for our problem would be that he checkes if the serial number or TAG already excist. and update the information accordingly. But is this possible?

Next version will have some "duplicate entry" reports.
We recommend:
Choosing a unique computername for the complete lifetime of a computer.
Label the computer with this name.
Fill in the custom fields (purchase date, ...)
This way it's completely trackable if you change the owner, re-install,...
