Hi
I'm having a issue with a couple of computers that will never scan os, I have check all the WMI setting as per your instruction and I have even run reparwmi.cmd will this fix some of the issue on the one computer I still getting an error of :
Registry Server execution failed (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80080005 (CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE))
Wmierror <computername> (<computername> \root\default
Any suggestion would be great
Thanks
Neil

I had this problem on 50% of our PC's here and the fix was one or both of the below:
1. Checkpoint Secure Remote client software. Uninstall this software and push your scan, than you can re-install.
2. run "netsh firewall set service type = remoteadmin mode = enable" (no quotes) in command window.
All clients are of the XP OS... SP2, SP3, x64, etc...
Hope this helps people out there as this seems to be a fairly widespread issue.

Thanks I will give it a try but I think the computer is messed up because I tried to install SP3 via script and it doesn't seem to going through with it.

There are some forum posts that suggest to apply SP3.
Could you try this on this one computer?
