Is there a way to write a script, or is there a utility or something that can be used to restart a service if it's found when Lansweeper runs it's daily inventory?

to further explain:

we have an antivirus application that should be installed on all 1500 assets we have. sometimes this service goes into a bad state and stops requesting definition updates from the server. it seems as though the only option at this point is to try to restart the Antivirus service to see if it starts sending requests to the server again. Restarting the service would not interfere with the users daily routines and everything would be done in the background.

Any thoughts or ideas on how to perform this would be greatly appreciated 🙂

thanks!

Chaden

thanks crashcarr, I'll check that script out and see if that would work in our environment.

I've had some success in the past by setting up this script as a custom action

Is there any ideas on when that feature will be deployed?

The beta is expected to be released in September.

Currently this is impossible with Lansweeper. But we are working on a deployment feature of Lansweeper. With the deployment you will be able to do this.
