Hi,

We have been using Lansweeper for a couple of months and find it great, however the big concern at the moment is the security aspect.

What's the best way of securing the information on the Lansweeper server?

I was thinking of password securing the site for starters, then get it to run on HTTPS.

Can anyone help with this or point me to the right direction?

Many thanks

In the knowledgebase you can find information on how to allow only a certain group of users access to the console.

Thank you, that's helpful.

Any ideas about implementing HTTPS for Lansweeper traffic?

This can be done if you configure IIS properly

The scanning itself is done using WMI and remote registry access. If you want this encrypted you can configure IPsec on your network.

Good point - being a bit thick today.

Thanks for your help.
