I've just created a Lansweeper account on a Ubuntu Linux computer to try the Linux-scanning feature.
How can I force a scan of a computer not already listed in the database?
Does the account need any special group membership?
We have a mixed network with Windows, Linux & Mac office computers. Can Lansweeper detect which account to use to login? (I'm thinking of the Linux/mac/Vmware SSH credentials.)

For this you need to setup ip range scanning and provide the SSH credentials for this machine.
When scanned it will show up in the devices section.
