Upgrading SQL Server from 2005 to 2008

I'm upgrading entire Lansweeper system, passing from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008R2 and from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008.
I have some problems to import data into new 2008 DB.

Do you have any experience on this migration with some tips to give me?

For the database:

Detach the current lansweeper database
Attach to the new sql2008.
Recreate the same username and password and make it owner off the database.

Thank you very much but after I've written the post I've simply tryed with a backup and a restore ... and it work ...
