Curious if anyone has run into an issue with Datto AV stopping/crashing the LansweeperAgentService.  I've been told the exception has been made to not scan the LansweeperService.exe, but the issue still occurs.  The agent has the default restart of 5 times, and it will finally report in, but it just shows many entries in event viewer since it crashes/stops.  There's nothing in the lsagentlog that indicates any kind of communication failure.  I've tried reaching out to Datto support, but they pretty much say add the exception for the exe which is already added.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi,

AV interference is a known cause of agent problems.

Temporarily disable Datto AV on one affected endpoint and monitor LansweeperAgentService. If it stays up, you’ve confirmed AV interference.
In addition to the executable, allowlist the entire Lansweeper agent working directory and service process so real-time scanning doesn’t touch binaries, temp/cache files, or updates. Re-verify after a policy sync.
