Engaged Sweeper II
Hi,
We have some DELL PowerConnect switches (N2000, N4000 and S6000). LANSweeper has used SNMP to grab information from the device, but for some reason, the Interface information keeps displaying the same port channel interface over and over again.

I have pasted the first couple of lines from LANSweeper below from the switch named R11-N2K-01.. this basically repeats where the only change per line is the IF number (first number):

1 Po29 Link to R11-N2K-01 Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 Gigabit - Level Ethernet Up 1518 F4:8E:38:23:CD:86 r11-n4k-01 1 | Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 Gigabit - Level (Po29 - Link to R11-N2K-01) Data-VLAN
r11-n4k-02 1 | Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 Gigabit - Level (Po29 - Link to R11-N2K-01)
2 Po29 Link to R11-N2K-01 Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2 Gigabit - Level Ethernet Up 1518 F4:8E:38:23:CD:86 r11-n4k-01 2 | Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2 Gigabit - Level (Po29 - Link to R11-N2K-01) Data-VLAN
r11-n4k-02 2 | Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2 Gigabit - Level (Po29 - Link to R11-N2K-01)

I would expect to see this information, but also a list of connected hosts for R11-N2K-01 (as we would get from a Cisco switch).

Has anyone had any experience with PowerConnect switches in LANSweeper and can assist?

Thanks,

Luke

There is a known issue in Lansweeper versions 6.0.0.42 and higher where the switch port connections for certain switch models are not scanning currently. Our developers are aware of this issue and the fix for this should be included in Lansweeper version 6.0.0.60, which should be our next release.

If you want to be sure that switch port connections for your switch will be scannable in the fixed version you can run this tool from your Lansweeper server to the switch in question, using your scanning SNMP credential. If "Connected Devices" are listed at the bottom of the output per interface, your port connections will be scannable in version 6.0.0.60.

I too am having this exact issue. Verified with that tool that the switch scans correctly. Any ETA on 6.0.0.60?

Thanks!

Same issue here, LS seems to not support extracting connected assets on Dell switches.
We use Dell 2048P and Dell 4032F.
