I found the solution for us, we were using a deprecated login. We setup the Graph App API Integration and used that protocol instead, and now our emails are working again. More info:

We started experiencing a possible similar issue this weekend. Incoming Email states there is a login error. Yet the account information hasn't changed/set to not expire. I do see notices in O365 that they're beginning to disabled "Basic Authentication", which I have a feeling is related.. Still digging.
