Hello!
I am fairly new to Lansweeper and have been tasked with installation of LsAgent on all of our users computers. When going into software it shows that all of the devices have it but when going to LsAgent assets section of assets it shows only about half. I have installed it on the golden image, could that be the reason that it isn't showing up? If so is there a method to remotely install the software in order to see them in LsAgent assets?
Thank you for any information!

Hi Araay,
There could be a few reasons as to why you don't see all the LsAgent assets.
Golden Image Configuration:
- Incomplete or Incorrect Configuration: Ensure the golden image is configured correctly to install and enable the LsAgent. Check for any missing components or incorrect settings.
- Solution: Review the golden image configuration, verify that LsAgent is installed and enabled properly, and redeploy the image to affected devices.
Agent Deployment Issues:
- Failed or Incomplete Deployments: If the LsAgent deployment process is not functioning correctly, it might be failing to install or enable the agent on some devices.
- Solution: Check the deployment logs for any errors or warnings. If necessary, redeploy the LsAgent to affected devices using a different method or verifying network connectivity.
- We have a silent install parameter that can be used https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/scanning-your-network/silently-installing-lsagent-on-a-windows-l...
LsAgent Configuration Issues:
- Incorrect Agent Configuration: The LsAgent might be configured incorrectly, preventing it from reporting to the server or being recognized as an asset.
- Solution: Check the LsAgent configuration on the devices to ensure its pointing to the correct Lansweeper server and is enabled.
- Config file is located in Program Files (x86)\LansweeperAgent\LsAgent.ini,
- You can also check the following file to see if the LsAgent is scanning the device and sending the scan file. Program Files (x86)\LansweeperAgent\LsAgentlog.txt

Would deploying the software through lansweeper be the recommended way of deployment?

Hello,
This depends a bit on your internal install/update procedures. If you don't have another in-house tool install packages, Lansweeper's deployment feature is a valuable solution.

Hello Frank sorry for the delayed response. We user PDQ to deploy software. I am running into the issue that the software is getting installed on the computer and the service starts to run but in lsagents scanning section of lansweeper it doesn't show the devices. I have the parameters on the command line section that specifies our server.
