Hi, I was just wondering if any one else has done this.
So we have a fleet of Mac“s that we obviously want to Scan via lansweeper.
We could manually create the credentials on each Mac, but that is not efficient, especially if you want to do this with a service account (so you can periodically update the password for security reasons).
Question is, how are you solving this, rolling out credentials to Mac“s for Lansweeper?

We manually connect the macs to the domain and give the domain account admin privileges on the mac. We only have a handful of macs, so we haven't really looked at centrally controlling them. Software does exist for this purpose, but it's been so long since I looked that I don't remember much about it.

So you are manually creating these accounts when deploying the PC?

We add a domain account to the macs so we can use credentials similar to "domain\administrator". Then credential mapping can be easily done in Lansweeper. You can use the same domain account that scans Windows computers.
