OK, installed from scratch yesterday due to a user rebooting the server while in the middle of the upgrade because IIS was not responding (who knew? 🙂

Scanned, and one of the printers that it detected is showing the Name of my LanSweeper server, and not it's name. The IP and other info are correct, just not the name.

I checked DNS and this printer is not in it. Just supprised that it is using the LanSweeper's name.

For what its worth, we saw this same thing happen to about 15 of our printers. They were showing up as names of PCs, servers, a user's name, and even the name PROXY.
After some investigation, we found the host-name of the printer had been set to these names somehow. So we telnet'ed to all of them, changed the host name, and re-scanned them and now all is well. Hope maybe that might help.

The printer is not in dns as shown by the 1st nslookup, and isotest213 is my LanSweeper server.

The service is trying a reverse lookup of the found Ip address.
Is this pointing to the lansweeper server?
