When I view the dashboard under a user account, the Open/Closed tickets show a different total than tickets listed by Type. Is this due to CC User status or is there a bug in the calculation?
Based on the information, the only thing I can think of would be if one of the user's tickets got "Ignored". Ignoring a ticket is usually used for spam tickets or ticket you do not want to count in any of the helpdesk reports.
Ignored tickets will also not show up in the count of a user's open or closed tickets, but will still be part of the count for the ticket type.
