Engaged Sweeper
Hi,
we have noticed that lansweeper scans duplicate assets:

once by correctly entering the Windows asset information and again as a Webserver with a different IP address.

We noticed that the different IP addresses are actually related to the different network cards in the computer.

Is there a solution to avoid this?

The unique identifier for the computer is the netbios but it also uses the IP address of the other network card as unique identifier.

Hello Tiffany,

This is Koen from Lansweeper Support.

Since the webserver asset is not scanned as a Windows computer, we would think the scanning requirements for Windows scanning are not met (at least not on that IP address). We could help you troubleshoot this a bit more in-depth or help you set an exclusion. Please reach out to us on support@lansweeper.com.

Kind regards
