Question
Why is my Anti-Virus software not being detected on my Windows server?
Answer
When Lansweeper scans your assets, the anti-virus information is retrieved in mainly two ways:
For Windows Server operating systems, the AntiVirusProduct WMI class is not available and the antivirus information can only be retrieved by comparing the installed software with the list of known anti-virus software found in the web console under Software\Anti-Virus Settings.
More information can be found in this knowledgebase article
Example:
If the Trend Micro Apex One Antivirus software is not being detected by Lansweeper on your Windows Server it might be that the software is not listed under Software\Anti-Virus Settings.
Adding the software to this list and rescanning the asset should solve this.
Make sure to add it to the list as it is found under the Software/Software tab of your Windows Server.
