SQL Install error

I have a new install of 2008R2 running and have started to load up my applications - one of which is Lansweeper.

I am getting an SQL Express error on install - error 2068578304.

I have already loaded an application that has installed the C++ 2005 distributions in order for this other application to run.

I also find that the C++ 2008 distributions have also been loaded by an application.

Why the SQL install error?

Could you try downloading and installing SQL Express manually. You can find it here.

Also note that on Windows 2008 R2 service pack 1 must be installed. This patch must also be applied on your scanning server. (This is not related to the error you are seeing, but necessary for smooth Lansweeper operation.)
