Engaged Sweeper II

Starting today for some reason, with no changes to configuration, all of our Lansweeper helpdesk messages have been getting images stripped from alert emails.   Images just show blank with the message: "The linked image cannot be displayed.  The file may have been moved, renamed, or deleted.   Verify that the link points to the correct file and location."

Wondering if anyone has an idea why this is occurring?

This what is seen now:

Tried restarting World Wide Web Publishing Service (IIS) and Lansweeper server service, as well as rebooting the server entirely.  The problem comes and goes.   Rebooting the server and restarting the service doesn't seem to help.

Hello,

We experience the same problem since last week.

Hello there!

If you are hosting your Lansweeper web server on IIS Server, we would recommend checking if you are running a custom app pool and, if so, if it still has the required permissions as detailed here: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/troubleshooting-your/file-and-image-upload-errors-and-sla-calcul...

All permissions were correct in custom app pool.  So this was not the issue.

Hello there!

As no changes were made in your configuration, and adhering to the old saying "have you tried tuning it off and on again?", we would recommend restarting your services to see if this resoves the issue:

  • On your Lansweeper web server, go to services.msc and restart the web server service in Windows Services. Your web server service is either World Wide Web Publishing Service (IIS) or IIS Express.
  • On your Lansweeper scan server(s), go to services.msc and restart the Lansweeper server service.

I restarted the server and it didn't help

I am using IIS express so above doesnt apply to my installation
