Hi everyone,
I am trying to install the Lansweeper plugin in Firefox, following the instructions in this Knowledgebase article: Configure Mozilla Firefox to Run Actions.
I am using Firefox version 136.0, but despite trying everything suggested, I am unable to generate the "addon@lansweeper.com.xpi" file. I've already tried reinstalling Firefox completely, but unfortunately, this hasn't resolved the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or found a solution? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

I was having this same problem today and then I was able to fix it an make it work again.
Problem was that my Lansweeper actions were no longer working in Firefox v 136.0.1.
Problem seemed to be related to an unsigned, most likely older, Lansweeper addon.
After messing with the Firefox config, it still was not working for me so I uninstalled the old add-on extension and then reinstalled the new.
This is how I got it working again.
1. I download the most current version of the Lansweeper following the instructions in this Knowledgebase article: Configure Mozilla Firefox to Run Actions.
2. Uninstalled my current Lansweeper, Firefox extension and then exited Firefox completed.
Task bar - Firefox - End all Firefox tasks if needed.
3. Run the new downloaded Firefox Extension to extract the files.
I confirmed the files are at the expected location for me:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser\extensions\addon@lansweeper.com.xpi
4. Restarted Firefox and the followed the install procedure shown in step #1 here.
In short -
Firefox Addon Themes |
Select the { Gear }
select "Install Add-on From File..."
select the file from step 3 here. C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser\extensions\addon@lansweeper.com.xpi
Confirm permissions for the Add-on, click [Add]
Tested and working now.
Ok, now I can go about the rest of my day.

@schoenbau I tried to reproduce the issue you experienced, however, my installation was successfull. After running and executing the said executable I was able to find the generated extension file in the given location.
