Description field in Dashboard not the same as AD Description on device

Why is the Description field in the main dashboard screen different from the devices AD Description field if the data should be coming from the same source?  I'm sorry if this is a petty grievance but its annoying.  Apparently there is no way to change the columns set on this screen, but can I get the correct info in this field updated?

HI,

The behavior you’re describing is actually expected in Lansweeper Classic, and you’ve observed correctly — the “Description” you see in the main dashboard or asset overview doesn’t come from Active Directory (AD). Instead, it comes from the local computer description field stored in Windows itself.

So, even though they look similar, they’re two separate fields scanned from different sources. Lansweeper doesn’t overwrite or combine them by default to avoid conflicting data between Windows and AD.
