Grouping of multiple boot machines.

What exactly do you mean by this?

We quite often have dual and triple boot machines covering various Operating systems. Would there be any way to manage/group a machine with xp vista win7 by mac addess? At the moment they just over write each other. this stops you getting a full picture of all operating system numbers on the dashboard page.

I use the custom fields for non windows operating systems.

Just as a side note could the LanSweeper version number be displayed on the front page somewhere?

Hello

next few suggestions after about 2 months of usage:
- Connection with WSUS, or other type of Windows Update tests (i.e checking WindowsUpdate.log) - show, when machine was updated last time or get some more detailed reports from WSUS
- checking other antiviruses (McAffee, Kaspersky)
- enable to filter reports by defined AD groups (maybe there is such possibility, unfortunately I'm still freeware user for the moment) or Lansweeper defined groups of computers
- add some notes for approved/purchased software (we usually put information, who and when is approving software, if' it's a group license, or company license, etc)
- add note info for GUID acceptance (to have brief info who accepted and when)
- correct Configuration tool (change sorting from case sensitive to case insensitive - ie. in software approval)

in no particular order:
1. Integration of Active Directory UserMod Assistant ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/adumass/ )
2. Integration of Active Directory ADModify ( http://www.codeplex.com/admodify )
3. AJAX interface
4. iPhone App... this could be huge!!!!!
5. Monitoring and Helpdesk could be nice but integration points (for software that already exists) might be decent too.
note:Agent (or Agent-less) monitoring is a huge undertaking. Especially once you start testing in a larger, enterprise size organization (issues with the queue backing up)....anyone else run into this?

How big is your network?

I have 3 US and 2 international sites with about 500+ workstations total.

As you think to support the workstation scans...
We don't have the AD. Just 2 domains and a lot of workstations.
Will be nice to create manually a groups to arrange the PC to it. It will be very helpful to find some PC, if you don't know the IP or hostname, but you know at which department/office(group) it is located.

Not top of our wishlist, but maybe a usefull one.

A web interface login for employees so they get access to only search for users, lansweeper would then be our company directory.

I don't know if anyone allready put this to the wishlist, but we would realy nead some sort of a filter for domains in reports.

Example: All installed software

We have a muliple domain forrest and we would like to see all software for just one domain without creating a fresh new report for each domain.

Maybe if there would be a dropdown menu with your domains listed (next to comuter search, user search and software search), and after selection all data would be shown only for that domain for all reports.

1) Track non-computer devices
2) Remote inventory scan
3) Customize computer list columns to anything about a computer
4) Simple Helpdesk
5) More in the web interface (delete computers, license management...)
6) AJAX would be nice
7) Highlight in computer list if not seen within x days
😎 Import utility

For #2, we have a bunch of remote users with laptops that we need to track. These laptops don't often, if ever, connect via VPN or locally to our network. So, it'd be nice to be able to install a local tracking program and schedule it to run periodically and report to an internet-accessible IP/host and port. I think the way lsclient works is to notify the server to scan the computer, which it's unlikely to do if that computer is over the internet behind a DSL router or wireless router/firewall. So the need is to collect on the local machine and then report the information back to the server, not as a rule, but as an option for these few computers.

Thanks!
