This post shows a troubleshooting diagram to troubleshoot the RPC unavailable scanning error.
A few considerations for following the diagram:
Rescan asset is done by navigating to the assets summary page and hitting the Rescan now button in the top left corner.
The connection test tool, testconnection.exe, is found on your scanning server in Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Actions
