Greetings,

In our company, we are going to implement OT network scanning. However, our client is asking what this type of scanning can detect. This is because their OT networks have devices with operating systems, but they cannot install agents or create administrator accounts on these devices. Could you help us by providing a list of what can be scanned and the ports and protocols required to perform this task?

Hello @JamesMalmsteen,

The link below will give you an overview of the supported protocols.

OT supported protocols - Lansweeper Community

We don't use an agent on the devices themselves. But of a Hub/Sensor architecture. See image below. If you want to detect an OT device, it is important to have the sensor in the same VLAN as the OT device.

If there are more questions, we can always set up a Teams call to demonstrate the software and answer questions or if necessary, we can assist you in installing the software in your own environment.
