Engaged Sweeper

Hi all,

I'm trying to write a query to identify which clients have MDE installed and which do not so that I can filter out those that already have MDE installed. Under Software → Anti-virus settings, there is no option for MDE. However, when I look further under Software → Windows Software, I can find "Windows Defender for Endpoint."

We have enabled MDE for all of our servers, and I can see them in Lansweeper. We have also enabled it on a few client laptops, but none of them appear in Lansweeper. Can someone help me with this?

Kind regards,

DTK

Hi @dtk

If Lansweeper isn't detecting Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) on your Windows machine, it might not be listed under Software\Anti-Virus Settings. To fix this:

  1. Add MDE to the Anti-Virus Settings: Go to Software\Anti-Virus Settings in Lansweeper and add MDE.
  2. Rescan the Asset: After adding MDE, rescan your machine.

Also, check that MDE is listed under the Software/Software tab on your Windows Server.
