Just resolved an issue we were having, however in the on-prem version, the only backup we have is from 11/10/2024, so 166 assets are missing vs what's in the cloud, including asset assignments. The cloud site is correct as of 11/15/2024 (which is when our on-prem server went down). I'm looking to see if it is possible to sync from the Site to the on-prem version, whether manually or if it is automatic. I am just afraid of whatever is in on-prem updating what is on Cloud and we end up losing those 166 assets and all the relations assigned to them.

No idea what happened to the backup we did before everything went down and the entire server was combed for the *.bak file, but no luck. No MSSQL folder found, and all other backups were placed in a physical backup location, one for every week except for the one on 11/15. If the data syncs from Cloud to On-Prem, then the issue of the missing backup isn't a concern, but if On-Prem overwrites Cloud, or the discrepancy in assets (14,447 in On-Prem after restoring the backup vs 14,643 in the cloud site) we will have to essentially rescan the warehouse to see what is missing.

Hello Rinks,
On-prem keeps track of the assets that are synced, or that need to be synced. After a restore of an earlier backup, some information may have been lost.
It is difficult to tell exactly what happened. If you had duplicate conflicts for example that that are "solved", this could explain the difference.
Alternatively, you can also unlink, delete the data from the Cloud, and do a full resync.

The problem isn't the cloud site, it's the on-prem that is the issue now. We had to revert to a previous backup from 11/10, so any changes from then until 11/14 are now missing. In our site, the information is correct. For example:

Person 1 has 5 assets assigned to them in the "deployed" or "active" state.

Sites: Shows person 1 with all 5 assets assigned and with correct state

On-Prem: Shows person 1 with no assets assigned. Looking up the assets shows they are in the "Not-Deployed" state.

We would like for the information in Sites to override what is in On-Prem, as Sites has the correct and most up to date information. We aren't showing any duplicates within either console, just misaligned information.
