Not in Lansweeper 5.0, no. This feature is planned for a later update.

Is Mobile Device Management on the horizon for a future release? It's a feature i'd love Lansweeper to have.

I mean management of iOS and Android devices. The ability to configure and update device settings over-the-air, push out apps, etc. Also having an inventory of these devices as Lansweeper can't scan them yet.

Something like what http://www.air-watch.com/ and http://www.mobileiron.com/ do.

We have added these features to our customer wish list, but they likely won't be a priority for the next few updates. Other features, such as a built-in help desk, have been much more requested.

A new feature I would like to see added is the ability to track changes to Active directory,

Such as when new Groups, User, and computers objects are added or deleted. Then be able to setup a daily or weekly report of these changes for review.

Also not sure if this is already there, I'll check after my DB server is finshed updating, but a button to see changes to the computer or device you are connected, so when troubleshooting.

Finanlly the ability to backup and restore Actions and settings (useful for migration to new operating systems). If in the wizard we are able to point to an existing database, that would be fine.

History can be found on the "Changes by type" page on the left side of the web console, on computer webpages under "History" and within the Lansweeper database in tables ending in "hist".

These items are stored in your database, so they will be backed up/restored along with your data. Backup instructions can be found on page 99 and beyond of our online documentation.

1) ip location overview with tree view (multilevel)
2) inserting ip range with different notation (192.168.0.1/24 and/or IP/SUBNET)
3) User pictures retrieved from AD attribute "thumbnailPhoto"

in a wide organization it could be very useful... 🙂
