hey everyone, I am wanting to ping a specific IP address that does not have an agent. I have set it as an IP Range and set a single IP.

My question is where can I find the results of this specific scan that I setup?

The scan looks like it is running, but I am not finding where I can pull a report for this scan.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Try looking thru the LastIPScan section of the tblAssets to see when the if this matches your ping requirements. It's a guess at this point if that holds the values you're looking for.

You'll have to start filtering the report based on your needs.

Select Top 1000000 tblAssets.AssetID,
  tblAssets.IPAddress,
  tblAssets.LastIPScan,
  tblAssets.Lastseen,
  tblAssets.Description
From tblAssets

Hello there!

All scanned assets can be found under the Assets tab. If an asset was scanned successfully, you should be able to find it on the Assets tab by filtering on the IP address using the filter boxes on top.

Alternatively, you can use our search bar for this: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/managing-assets/search-through-assets-with-the-web-console-searc...

Thank you very much for that information, but the asset that I am looking for will never have an agent on it. I have been looking at possibly doing a subnet sweep, but just trying to find the best route to do this.

In my environment we have several different subnets and I am looking to get the status of a specific device as I know what the IP is of each device, but just trying to get a better picture of up and down statuses for that asset.

Hello there!

An agent is not required if you scan the asset agentless, and it sounds like you have set up an IP range  scanning target for this single IP as described here: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/scanning-your-network/scanning-with-an-ip-range-scanning-target/...

So, if your asset meets the agentless scanning requirements, you should be able to find it in Lansweeper. If not, you might want to go through these troubleshooting steps: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/troubleshooting-scanning-issues/no-asset-created-for-scanned-com...

Once the asset is scanned successfully, you can consult the ping status with the online status indicator: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/managing-assets/online-status-indicator/ta-p/64369
