tblADComputers.Description not refreshing for assets?

Hey Sweepers,

Does anyones tblADComputers.Description update when a modification is made to the computer description field in Active Directory? I'm noticing that ours have gotten out of sync. Any ideas?

Hello there!

Ensure that you are refreshing this information, by checking the Refresh on-premises Active Directory computer details (OU,description,... ) option, which can be found under Scanning/Scanning Targets in the Scanning Scope section.

Is there any way to trigger this refresh "now"? Clicking scan now on the AD Computer path only rescans the computers it already knows about in that path, but doesn't refresh the information from AD. It used to happen shortly after a service restart, but that doesn't seem to bet he case anymore....

A restart of the scanning service should indeed trigger a refresh. Should that not be the case, I would recommend reaching out to support: https://www.lansweeper.com/contact-support/
