Hello fellow Lansweeper users.
I am trying to figure out how to fix a few issues I'm seeing with Lansweeper 11.4.0.4 and previous versions.

When Lansweeper scans the vCenter Servers, it picks up the ESXi Hosts.  I then go through those records and update things such as Domain Name, Location, Purchase Date, Warranty End Date, Purchase Price, Cost Center, Function, etc.
This information stays until the vCenter Server is scanned again, and a majority of the data is dumped and I have to go back and re-enter all the missing data again.  Has anyone else seen this?  Have you found a solution to fix it and keep it from happening?  My only thought has been to create some sort of table that contains all the information I need to manually input into these fields so they get auto populated.   Thoughts?

Anyone find a fix for this or is the answer to scan the ESXi host only and not the vCenter?

for your scanning of ESXI or any other non-windows servers, what kind of authentication are you using?  SNMP, user name and password, ?  Do you have a dedicated service account for scanning?

You can create separate account on esxi.

Ls use native api to scan vsphere, not snmp!

Do you have an example of the API?  I am not all that familiar with using the API.

Yes, ls has this issue. So I decided to stop to scan vcenters and scan only esxi hosts.
