You are using the active/non-active status correctly in this case. The assets are marked as active or non-active according to the configuration of the Atumated Clean-up options: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/lansweeper-maintenance/perform-automated-database-cleanups/ta-p/...
To display only Active assets in the reports, you would need to modify the report. You can do so by clicking on the duplicate report button:
The report editor will open, you need to add a filter condition for the State Name to be equal to Active:
