Hi Team,
Wanted a quick information on what is the best practice to install Lansweeper agent on a VMware template.
Scenario here is I have created a VMware template, I will be shutting down the template and I will be powering on the template once in a month apply patches and power off the template, could you please let me know the best practice of installing Lansweeper agent in the VMware template so that when I power on the template Lansweeper agent should not communicate to the Lansweeper cloud. This is the requirement, could you please help me for this.

Hi Kevin,
How to fix it if some reason we forgot to disable the service and deployed few new servers?

On the new servers, you would just need to go into Windows services, set the Lansweeper Agent Service to Automatic, then start it. It should check in with your Lansweeper in an hour or so, if not sooner.

You could set the Lansweeper Agent Service to Disabled in Windows services on the template, the only negative being you would have to remember to set it back to Automatic for any VMs created from that template.
