Lifecycle information helps you track important dates such as end of sale, end of support, and milestone dates across your hardware and software assets. By monitoring these details, you can anticipate upcoming support expirations, plan timely upgrades, and reduce security or compliance risks.

You can access all lifecycle data using one of two methods: either view all lifecycle information for an individual asset, or get an overview of lifecycle information across your entire environment.

View lifecycle information for an individual asset

To check the lifecycle status of a specific asset, such as a particular device or operating system installation:

  1. In your Lansweeper Site, go to Assets > Views.

  2. Find the asset you want to inspect. You can use the search, filters, or existing views to find it.

  3. Go to the asset details page.

  4. Select Risk insights.

  5. Select Lifecycle to view the asset’s lifecycle data.

View lifecycle information for all assets

To get a comprehensive overview of lifecycle data across your organization and identify assets approaching important milestones:

  1. In your Lansweeper Site, go to Risk insights.

  2. Depending on the data you want to view, select a lifecycle view:

    • Hardware lifecycle: displays information on hardware assets, including Model and Manufacturer.

    • OS lifecycle: displays operating system information, including OS and Assets.

Each lifecycle view includes key fields such as End of Sale, End of Support, and Milestone date, enabling you to quickly identify assets that require priority attention.

The Milestone date field displays the most relevant date based on the asset's current stage.
